Sixth Cut-a-thon raises $2,000

The Lion’s Club of Tropical Gardens Breast Cancer Awareness Fund is $2,000 better off thanks to the recent Cut-a-thon.

The annual event was held at Eclipze Hair Design and Day Spa in Industrial Park, with participants from many different salons around the island volunteering their services for free.

The amount made on the actual day was $1,450, and with some $300 raised before the event the figure came up to $1,750. An extra donation from Eclipze raised the amount to $2,000.

The event, which was the sixth annual Cut-a-thon, took place on the afternoon of Sunday, 29 October and saw a busy influx of customers availing of the great prices available on wet cuts, manicures, massages and more.

Volunteers on the day were from the following salons and spas: Artista, Body Works, Beyond Massage, Eclipze, Focus, Headz Up, La Belle, Renaissance, Sameena’s, Spa Espirit, Vanity’s, Virginia’s.
