Business Outlook date set

Fidelity, the organizer of the popular annual business conference Cayman Business Outlook, has confirmed the date and venue for the upcoming, one-day 2007 conference.

It will take place at the Ritz Carlton on Thursday, 18 January.

Delegates are urged to save the date and check the media for the speaker announcements.

The conference theme, Future Trends: The Next Five Years will open the doors to subject matter to include energy, world dominance, skills shortage and money supply and take a more long-term view of the global economic, political and social trends likely to affect Cayman through 2012, states a press release.

‘Fidelity is pleased to announce the 4th annual Cayman Business Outlook,’ said Brett Hill, president and chief executive officer. ‘We will help identify and provide unique perspectives on the opportunities and challenges that Cayman will face in the next five years, and facilitate the creation of innovative business strategies through access to a strong group of highly-regarded international and regional speakers.’

Mr. Hill noted that Cayman Business Outlook takes place each year in large part due to the generosity of a committed group of partner sponsors, who believe in the conference objectives and actively support the mission to provide highly interesting, educational speakers on pertinent topics.

Leading corporate citizens Consolidated Water, The Cayman Islands Investment Bureau, Admiral Administration, Campbells Attorneys-at-Law, Digicel, Five Continents Financial, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Ritz Carlton and RoyalStar Assurance, are Fidelity’s sponsor partners. They not only provide financial assistance but valuable input in structuring the one day event.

In January the country’s Government CEO and Leader of Government Business Kurt Tibbets gave the opening Cayman Business Outlook 2006 address to a 200-strong audience drawn from the professional expatriate and local business community including leading bankers, lawyers and senior members of government. The Keynote speaker was Ted Fishman, author of ‘China Inc.’ and in previous years Keynotes have been General Wesley K. Clark and Mr. Benjamin Barber, author of Fears Empire and Jihad vs. McWorld.

The 2007 line up of speakers and their topics will be announced at a Cayman Business Outlook Press Conference in approximately two weeks time at the beginning of the New Year.
