IMAC sends 2 to school

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman Educational Scholarship Fund has recently awarded two full scholarships to Caymanian students to pursue degree courses overseas.

Ms Monique Hydes will study for a Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at Nova Southeastern University and Ms Victoria King will study for an Economics degree at the University of Virginia.

Mr. John Pitcairn, chairman of the Scholarship Fund said he is delighted the fund is in a position to offer two scholarships this year, states a press release.

Other scholarship recipients in recent years have been Laveda Burton who has just completed a B.A. Honours degree in Finance and International Business from Richmond University in London and Jessica Powell who is studying for a International Finance degree at the University of Miami.

The Educational Scholarship Trust Fund of the Insurance Managers’ Association of Cayman was formed in 1994 to assist with the post high school education of young Caymanians.

Contributions are derived from the Insurance Mangers Association, the individual insurance management firms and the captive insurance companies themselves.
