The computer in the Junior Achievement office recently found itself unable to store one more byte of information. In less than two days after JA’s need came to light, Cable & Wireless (Cayman Islands) Ltd. dialed up and offered their assistance – literally.
Away on business in the United Kingdom, Ken Guiste, Vice President Sales & Customer Service, phoned JA to confirm that Cable & Wireless would provide a laptop to the organization free of charge. The laptop was then personally delivered to the Junior Achievement office by Mr. Guiste upon his return to Grand Cayman, said a press release.
‘Cable & Wireless is committed to the development of the youth in our islands. We are very pleased to support Junior Achievement by providing them with a Dell Laptop computer which will enable them to better serve this very important scheme that benefits many high school students throughout the Cayman Islands,’ said Mr. Guiste.
Junior Achievement is a hands-on program teaching how economics is used in business and everyday life.
