Coldwell Banker Cayman Islands Realty and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman are the latest companies to join as sponsors of the upcoming Cayman Observer Business Awards.

The Cayman Observer Business Awards recognise the achievements and enterprising spirit of businesses across the Cayman Islands.

‘Both of these companies are known throughout the local business community and their brands recognized internationally for exemplary standards of service and operations,’ said Cayman Observer Publisher Mr. Paul Byles. ‘Therefore they are a great fit for the awards and we are grateful for their support.’

The ceremony will be 31 January at a cocktail reception at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman where 10 Caymanian business pioneers will be honoured.

Mr. JC Calhoun, owner of Coldwell Banker Cayman Islands Realty, said his company was proud to play a part in encouraging the excellence that exists in Cayman’s business sector.

‘These awards are an opportunity for the Cayman business community to celebrate the pioneers’ achievements and provide recognition for their valued contribution to our country,’ Mr Calhoun said. ‘Coldwell Banker is pleased to sponsor this important Awards program.’

Jean Cohen of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman said the pioneers were a great example for today’s businesses.

‘In today’s business climate with its pressures to improve customer service, increase value, create more innovative products and reduce costs, the Cayman Observer Business Awards recognise those businesses that have successfully faced these challenges,’ she said.

Mr Byles said ‘The one characteristic the 10 pioneers have in common is that they are all not only a success in business but have also shown unwavering commitment to the Cayman community as good corporate citizens’
