The dogs were also given dewormers, new collars, dog licenses and treats. Many owners, as well as donating funds to the charity for the service, booked their animals in for spaying/neutering at the society’s new clinic.

All the animals were inspected and volunteers’ advised on heartworm disease, coat care and grooming.

‘This has to be one of our busiest dog washes to date,’ stated organiser Carolyn Parker.

”It is encouraging to see so many owners willing to… spend time with their pets here at the dog wash. It definitely shows a caring attitude here in West Bay.’

The release added that the Humane Society Dog Wash visits various communities throughout Grand Cayman approximately every six weeks. All dog and puppy owners are welcome to attend. For further details call 949 1641.
