Police make burglary arrests

According to a Royal Cayman Islands Police Service release, two men were arrested last weekend in relation to burglary offences by detectives in Bodden Town.

A 40-year-old man from North Side was arrested on suspicion of burglary while a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. The arrests took place overnight on Saturday into Sunday.

Other arrests from the weekend related to offences such as assault, damage to property, driving without insurance and without a licence and criminal trespass.

In addition, overnight Saturday into Sunday; officers arrested a 47-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man from Lower Valley blew over double the legal limit and was charged and bailed to appear before Summary Court on May 15.

West Bay officers tackled speeding and in one sitting six people were issued tickets for exceeding the legal limit along West Bay Road.
