The Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort is gearing up for Associate Appreciation Week to pay tribute to all of their associates for their dedication, commitment and outstanding service.
Marriott has operated for 80 years under the principle take care of your associates and your associates will in turn take care of your guests and the guests will return.
Lots of surprises are in store as preparations are made for the appreciation week that starts 21 May, states a press release.
‘Associate appreciation is a prime example of why Marriott is a great company to work for; one that genuinely cares about their associates and seeks to help them grow…both professionally and spiritually,’ said Managing Director Walter Regidor. ‘There are over 2,300 Marriott properties worldwide. That is 2,300 opportunities for associates to be transferred to if they wish. It is essential that our associates know that without their dedication and the superior service that they provide day in and day out; our company would not be the leading industry leader that it is today.’
Associate Appreciation Week kicked off in 2006 with the cafeteria renovation and associate car wash.
The week continued with a sports day at the beach, a Stingray City boat trip and a grand associate luncheon where management team served associates. It also hosted a Marriott around the World dining function where associates and management were invited to take dishes from their countries. Marriott Associates represented over 37 nationalities from Australia to the Philippines.
‘Expectations for the week will definitely be met if not exceeded this year. It will be even bigger and better than last year,’ said the Director of Human Resources Alex Dimsdale. ‘We are still in the process of ironing out the exact details, but one event that I am happy to confirm is that we will celebrate the grand opening of our new and improved associate cafeteria during the week.’
Prior to the Associate Appreciation Week the leadership team at the Marriott Beach Resort will also be recognized as it enjoys an afternoon at Boatswain’s Beach on Tuesday, 8 May. They will be welcome to invite their families as they prepare to embark on the upcoming celebratory week.
