Lions assists with Disney trip

The Lions Club of Tropical Gardens helped to make Lighthouse School’s fun trip to Disney World in Orlando in early April a reality with the donation of personal tote bags to everyone who went on the trip.

Just before the students left Club President Norma McField and Lions members Jondo Obi and Liz Smith made the presentation of the backpacks to students and Deputy Lighthouse School Principal Olga Gourzong.

Some 21 students, including one student from Cayman Brac and his mom, eight members of staff and eight parents with siblings and staff’s children along with other persons from the community went on the Easter holiday trip.

A Lions spokesperson said this was done as part of the club’s Youth and Education Projects.
