After losing my brother to a short illness I was faced with another difficult situation on Saturday the day before my brother’s funeral.
I got a call from Mr. Rudy Myles, who was to do the tribute at the funeral, that he was unable to so because of illness.
Tired and already stressed out, I searched up and down to find someone who could help me in my situation. I prayed to God for an answer and he answered. I thought about Mr. Cline Glidden, West Bay MLA, only to ask him to get in contact with Mr. McKeeva Bush for I knew he knew the song that went along with my tribute.
I was informed that Mr. Bush was off the Island. I explained my situation to him with a broken heart, this was 11.30am at this time and 2pm was my brother’s funeral. He told me to leave it up to him and he would get back to me as soon as possible.
I kept praying and within half an hour my prayers were answered. Mr. Glidden called, to inform me how he was going to deal with the tribute and that I could relax and not worry that my brother’s funeral would be just fine. He also told me he would meet me at the church.
Arriving at the church there was Mr. Glidden as he said he would be waiting for me. Mr. Glidden then escorted to view my brother.
I was so grateful my brother’s funeral was exceptional.
Mr. Glidden, please remember one good turn deserves another. I could never forget what you did for me.
