Two men were arrested Friday morning in a drugs operation carried out in East End.
East End and North Side uniform police and the K9 Unit searched three properties in Broadleaf Close (off John Mclean Drive) and arrested the two men, aged 34 and 57, for possession of ganja and consumption of a controlled drug. The two have been released on police bail pending further investigations, police said in a press release.
During another search at an address in North Side, a 9mm round of ammunition was found in a garden. No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
The RCIPS is calling on the public to assist with efforts to stamp out illegal drug and firearm use. All persons calling crime stoppers remain anonymous, and are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000, should their information lead to an arrest or recovery of property/drugs.
