Drug charges

Ten men between the ages of 17 and 60 were arrested in one week on various drugs and firearms related allegations in West Bay. In one incident, Royal Cayman Islands Police said they took eight men into custody after a search of a Kings Road home on 14 August. All eight men were arrested for suspicion of possessing an unlicensed firearm, a shotgun. In addition, a 50-year-old man was jailed on suspicion of possessing ganja and cocaine with intent to supply. Six men were arrested for consuming a controlled drug. In an unrelated incident, a 20-year-old and 22-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of consuming a controlled drug after a search by police K9 and Drugs Task Force units in Birch Tree Hill, West Bay.
