The National Trust has been integral to the success of the Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau family program at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, which has received international press attention and rave reviews from Ritz-Carlton guests.
Frank Roulstone has been an amazing inspiration and source of knowledge for our Ambassadors programme naturalists. He has been generous and tireless in his efforts to train our staff on Cayman’s terrestrial ecology, even bringing in Mr. Murray Roed, author of “Islands from the Sea, Geologic Stories of the Cayman Islands” to give a talk about the islands’ geologic origins. We are also proud to offer the National Trust’s colouring book on endangered species to all our young guests to raise awareness of Cayman’s fragile eco-system.
As Cayman’s tourism industry continues to attract affluent travellers looking for unique experiences intrinsic to the destination, Cayman’s natural environment, places of historical significance and cultural traditions play an increasingly important economic role.
The ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman salute the efforts of the National Trust and honour its mission to preserve what makes Cayman so special.
