Surely the police must now step up and enforce more stringent rules regarding these trucks on the roads and the drivers’ actual ability to drive them.
HGV tests in most countries are very, very hard to pass, take a considerable amount of education and examinations and practise.
Most of these vehicles don’t even have readable license plates or company info e.g.: telephone numbers on them.
How many more children and parents must lose their lives before something is done.
This is a very, very sad day for the family concerned and our prayers go out to them all.
We the public can also participate in preventing this kind of tragedy by reporting careless and reckless drivers we have all seen them and keep seeing them daily. All it takes is a phone call you don’t even have to give your name!
