Triple C students give

If it is more blessed to give than receive, and it is, then the students of Triple C School are truly blessed. For the past 25 years students have been giving to help the needy in the island, in the region and around the world.

From Jamaica to Russia and from Phuket to Mexico, their generous hearts have touched lives through their giving.

Most recently in two months the children gave – no fundraising was done – $1,150 to assist the Huntley Church of God in Manchester, Jamaica which was badly damaged by Hurricane Dean.

‘I am more than touched by these children; they have kept up a tradition and my prayer is that they will continue to be givers from the heart when they become adults,’ Carmen Reimer, the school’s Spiritual Life Director, said in a press release.

‘Although students are reminded regularly about the offering and are lauded in the chapel services for their giving, no pressure is put to bear on them. It is amazing what one quarter a week can do when everyone catches the vision. Of course many give more than that.’
