Contestants sought for 29 March pageant.
Contestants are currently being sought for the Mr. Cayman pageant, scheduled for Saturday, 29 March.
To date, seven contestants are signed to compete. Organiser and reigning Mr. Cayman Daniel Bodden, is hoping to secure more, moving the initial deadline of 29 December to 29 February.
Contestants must between 18 and 35 years and not less than 5’8” in height. Organisers state candidates must be in good physical shape, of good morale character and possess good communication skills. In addition, they must be well educated, handsome and have a strong desire to represent Cayman internationally.
The winner will go on to compete in the Mr. World contest, Mr. Man Hunt International, Mr. Caribbean International and Mr. Universe.
In addition, the winner will garner $1,000 in prize money, a trip to Jamaica, Cayman Brac, a Caribbean Carnival Cruise and a full wardrobe.
Preparations for the pageant, which will be held at Pedro’s St. James, will start first week of March, and will include rehearsals, dinners, speech and walking lessons as well as travel.
