BrightStaff Recruitment participated in the Chamber of Commerce Careers & Jobs Expo held last month.
Over 30 businesses, organisations and government departments participated in the two-day event hosted in UCCI’s Sir Vassel Johnson Hall.
The first day was limited to high school and college students and the second day was open to the general public. Both the Minister of Education Alden McLaughlin and the Chamber President James Tibbetts spoke at the opening reception.
‘We had over 350 high school and college students on the first day and the response from them and the exhibitors was extremely positive. I think many work experience and summer jobs have been arranged or will be in the coming weeks due to this event,’ said Mr. Tibbetts.
‘The turnout was fantastic and attendees were expressing a keen interest in exploring employment options in the finance, I.T. and legal sectors, both on and off the Island. BrightStaff Recruitment is always eager to employ locally and an event such as this is the ideal opportunity for us to have direct interaction with the youth of Cayman,’ said BrightStaff Recruitment CEO Tariq Hussain.
The winner of the Brightstaff prize draw was Courtney Phipps of PriceWaterHouseCoopers.
