Clinic welcomes new chiropractor

Dr. Mel Vance and the team at Islands Chiropractic and Wellness Centre have welcomed a new chiropractor, Dr. Eddie Fernandes, to the Island.

Mr. Fernandes joins the centre from the San Francisco Bay area, where he studied sports medicine and rehabilitation and interned as an athletic trainer with the University Of California, Davis.

Mr. Fernandez received his doctorate in Chiropractic with honours from the Life Chiropractic College in Hayward, CA. He is trained and certified in Active Release Technique, specialising in soft tissue work. He is also advanced proficient in Activator Methods Technique, which is a low force velocity technique for children and the elderly.

Married to a Caymanian, Jacqueline Bothwell-Fernandes, Mr. Fernandes says he is pleased to be serving the community. He has strong beliefs in the natural healing abilities of the body and says he is dedicated to helping those in need of holistic health care. ‘Your health affects everything you do in life,’ he said.

Mr. Fernandes is now accepting new patients at Islands Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, which is on the corner of Walkers and Middle Roads. Phone 945-1988.
