Triple C students hit the right notes

The Triple C School Crusader Band and Choir hit the right notes at the Association of Christian Schools International Festival competition held in Chattanooga, Tennessee, last month.

The band received an Excellent rating for their presentation of ‘Crown Him with Many Crowns‘. The Choir was awarded superior for their rendition of ‘We Declare‘ and ‘God is our Refuge and Strength‘.

Individual students gaining a Superior rating were Clarinet soloist, Tanya Meyerhoff playing ‘Above All Kingdoms‘; flautists Hillary Gomez and Trisha Meyerhoff, playing an intricate piece by an 18th Century anonymous composer and Saxophonists, Justin Jacky and Joel Schneider for their untitled duet.

Overall the band and choir returned home with six superior ratings and two excellents.

Triple C School has an excellent Music Department and participates in a number of local and overseas festivals and competitions. The Triple C School Crusader Band has been going for almost 30 years and was the first school band on the island.
