Cruisers are clueless

My wife and I both agree with Bob Soto and the need to emphasize Grand Cayman’s most important asset – that of the ocean.

We have been travelling to the Islands since the late 1970s, have seen the immense changes on island and the explosion of the cruise ship industry.

At one time it was such a pleasure to walk around the George Town area…and visit with locals.

Unfortunately, now it is impossible most days to navigate the crowds…many of whom are rude and could care less about Cayman.

I have asked many, many cruisers what they were looking for and the majority have no idea as to what our wonderful Island has to offer.

The Islands that Time forgot have been discovered a long time ago. How we wish that the leaders of Cayman would restore some of that feeling.
