Conyers Dill & Pearman announce Erik Bodden as the recipient of their 2008 Legal Education Award.
Mr. Bodden completed an impressive written application expressing his abilities and dedication to a future career in the legal field. His previous experience and qualifications set an excellent foundation for a career within the legal profession.
Mr. Bodden started his Bachelor of Laws at the Cayman Islands Law School in September of this year. He has already obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Business, Marketing and Spanish Culture whilst attending Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada in 2001 as well as obtaining an International Certificate of Compliance at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom in 2007.
Cayman Islands partner Kevin Butler, who will be Erik’s mentor, stated: ‘Erik brings a level of energy and enthusiasm with him that will ensure good results in school and as a lawyer. We are happy to be part of his legal education from the beginning and wish him the best with his studies.
‘Erik impressed us thoroughly and we look forward to seeing him through his studies, training and becoming a lawyer.’
Due to the high standard of applications this year Conyers Dill & Pearman took the decision to award three additional CI$500 cheques to young Caymanian applicants to help with their study expenditure.
