Rising Stars B takes on John Gray Mixed while All Stars battle Rawlinson and Hunter.

The sides are coming off a good showing in the recent CINA Mixed League. Rising Stars finished fourth while All Stars came in second place.

The sides are two of the 12 teams competing in the league this year.

The teams have been split into two divisions. Division one sees All Stars, Rawlinson and Hunter, Rising Stars A, Bodden Town A, Storm A and Roma.

In division two there are Rising Stars B, John Gray Mixed, Maples and Calder, Storm B, Unity and Bodden Town B.

Games will be played at Truman Bodden on Thursdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 6:30pm.

The league will operate in three separate rounds.

The teams are currently in a round robin system where all teams will play each other in their respective divisions.

Games start today 4 December and continue on until 12 February.

From there the league goes into its playoff system. First up will be the elimination round.

The top four teams in each division will face off in the semi-finals with the No.1 seed vs. No.4 seed and No.2 seed vs. No.3 seed. The bottom teams will battle for the No.5 and No.6 rankings.

Thereafter the league switches to its Championship round.

The winners in the elimination round will play each other for first and and place while the losers will battle for third and fourth place.

The start of the league comes shortly after its opening activities. On Saturday 22 November the opening parade was held at Truman Bodden.

Thereafter the opening rally took place last Saturday again at Truman Bodden.

Look out for a full report of the rally in tomorrow’s paper.
