The junior national squash team has gone to the Canadian and US Opens to battle it out with some of the best juniors in the world.
Coach Dean Watson said: ‘We are away for 13 days and the whole team has worked very hard in preparation for these events.
‘The first being held at Whiteoaks Squash Centre in Niagara-on-the-Lake then down to Trinity College, Hartford for the US Open.
‘This is our third year to compete in these events, with 11 players participating they are very honoured to be representing the Cayman Islands and placing Cayman on the world squash map.
‘I know the members of SSSC have recently witnessed some amazing squash especially with Jake Kelly and Cameron Stafford in the final of the SSSC Club Championships.
‘This is not only their hard work paying off but also from our main sponsors for their continued support. They are Walkers, CIBC, Stuart Walker Hersant, BDO, Aon and Kariba along with many other companies and private donations. Without this help we wouldn’t have a junior team.’
