West Indies allrounder Kieron Pollard wants to make an impact and contribute to the overall team success in the upcoming International Cricket Council’s World Twenty20 2009 Tournament.
The powerfully built 22-year-old is capable of explosive hitting, and is also a steady seam bowler. He is aiming to be on top of his game in all departments during the tournament which runs from Friday until June 21.
The West Indies warmed up against Ireland yesterday at the Oval on June 2 and England at Lord’s today. Their first tournament match will be against Australia at the Oval on Saturday followed by a meeting with Sri Lanka at Trent Bridge on June 10.
