Brazen burglar hits BT home

Royal Cayman Islands Police are searching for a suspect in connection with a frightening home invasion incident Monday in Bodden Town.

Detectives said a woman in a condo on Beach Bay road awoke Monday around 6.40am to find a man had entered her apartment and was holding a knife over her.

Police said the man asked the victim where her handbag was located. The victim told police the man eventually left after taking a digital camera and a nano iPod.

The victim was not physically hurt in the incident.

Police said it appeared the suspect entered the condo through a sliding glass door in the rear of the residence. Officers also indicated that the knife the man was holding had come from the resident’s kitchen.
