In the other women’s semi, Walkers beat Ace Paints and Decor 12-8 in another tight match that could have gone either way.

A jubilant Beth O’Garro said: ‘There were some good plays drafted up by our coaches and our team ran their routes very well. It was a great team effort.

‘We look forward to the game against Wonders. They’re a competitive team, their quarterback and receivers are good but I think we’re just as good so it’ll come down to who executes best and whoever does best on that day is going to be the winner.’

In the men’s games, Goldfield West Bay Hellcats defeated Maples 12-0. Jacob ‘Frecko’ Ebanks threw a TD to Perry ‘BoyWonder’ Levy and Phil Brown ran a 50 yard TD for the Hellcats.

In the other semi, Dog House Bulldogs beat the Hammerheads Pirates 12-6. John Mack threw 2 TDs to Jon Pump for the Bulldogs and Neil Clements threw a TD to Nigel Solomon for the Pirates.
