Young Caymanian gains CPA

Newly promoted to Senior Accountant
at Deloitte, Bernadette Myles has successfully gained her CPA designation in
her first attempt.

Ms Myles was awarded the Deloitte
Gold Scholarship in 2005 and obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the
University of South Florida. During her summers, she returned home and gained
experience working for Deloitte. After graduating in 2007, Bernadette returned
to Cayman and began her career as a Staff Accountant in the Audit department.

“I am most grateful for the
opportunities and support that Deloitte has given to me,” she said. These opportunities
have broadened both my educational and professional horizons and the experience
can only be described as invaluable.”

The Deloitte CPA programme provides
young Caymanians the opportunity to obtain their CPA while gaining work experience.
The CPA program provides full financial support to Staff Accountants who have
three years to complete the program successfully.
