Catholic Gospel concert

The Missionaries of the Poor and
Father Ho Lung and Friends from Jamaica are staging a Gospel concert 26 Friday,
and 27 Saturday March from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.

The benefit concert, 5 Tenors with
Anita Wheaton and the St. Ignatius Choir,
is a fundraiser for Haiti relief and for a home for pregnant women run
by the Missionaries of the Poor in Kingston. The show will be held at St.
Ignatius Catholic School’s Loyola Hall on Walkers Road.

Servant
leader of the Missionaries of the Poor in Cayman, Jennison Nunez, one of the
event’s organisers said: “Father Ho Lung and Friends are known for their
inspirational music and for producing award winning shows. Their last
performance in Grand Cayman was the production Isaiah in 2007.

“Whilst
the shows provide an excellent means of fundraising for the Missionaries of the Poor, it goes far
beyond that; every show is evangelistic in nature reaching out to large audiences
and bringing to them the good news of Jesus Christ through an entertaining and
family-friendly venue.”

Tickets, priced $20, can be
purchased at the St. Ignatius School Office at 949-9250; the St. Ignatius
Church Office at 949-6797; Funky Tangs at 949-0998; Jennison Nunez at
