Penguins floating along nicely

Last weekend saw another round of
games in the WestTel youth roller hockey league.

In the PeeWee division the 2-1
Appleby Sharks remain top in spite of a 13-6 loss to the 1-2 Hurley’s Hawks.
Josiah Derkensen and Tynan Klein had 10 points between them for Appleby.
Alexander Agemian and Nicole Whittaker led the Hurley’s charge combining for 10
points as well.

The Five Continent Leafs moved into
second place with a 9-8 win over the Vampt Oilers. Chris Messer had six points
for the 2-1 Leafs while Ethan Hersant and Marc Reid combined for six points for
the 1-2 Oilers.

Animal House Penguins are front
runners again in the Atom division. The Penguins are 2-1 after thrashing the
LOM Capitals 11-6. Jamie Williams had six points for the Penguins while Ben
Black, Graeme Hill, Jacob Walters and Maxwell Schipperheijn had two points
apiece for the Capitals.

The 1-2 KPMG Senators got their
first win beating the 1-2 Eats Blazers 3-2. Ethan Finlanson and Adam McWatt had
two points each for KPMG. Dylan Windsor, Hunter Wilkom and Kai Robinson Allard
scored for Eats.

Lastly the Novice division sees the
2-0-1 Coldwell Banker Rangers in first place after a 12-4 thrashing of the 0-3
XN Financial Flames.

Lex Dobson had five points to lead
the Rangers while Ryan Goodwin’s three points were the lone positive for the
Flames.

The 2-0-1 dms Bruins remain in the
hunt for the division lead after taking down the 1-2 Walkers Blue Iguanas 5-4.

David Pitcairn, Jabari Walrond,
Justin Hastings, and Sarah Jackson each had two points for the Bruins. Cassidy
Amesbury had four points for Walkers.

Action continues this Saturday at
the WestTel arena of Kings Sports Centre. All three leagues play matches from
9am until roughly 3pm.
