Ryan Bovell produced an excellent
all round display in the Cayman Islands Cricket Association All Stars m

It was held on Sunday at the Jimmy
Powell Oval in West Bay. This was the first match of its kind and players who
performed creditably in five rounds of Division 1 action this year were on

including Acting Director of Sports Collin Anglin, local cricket legend Jimmy
Powell and Cayman Islands Cricket Association President Courtney Myles enjoyed
the day’s action.

Having lost four early wickets
Pearson Best’s team relied on Bovell partnered by Abali Hoilett to restore the

Bovell batted well hitting five
fours and one huge six. Together with Hoilett’s 28 and Conroy Wright 18, Bovell
took his team’s score to a respectable186.

Saheed Mohamed’s team had superb
bowling from Marlon Bryan, Kenute Tulloch and Alister Ifill and well backed up
by Kevon Bazil and Omar Willis.

At five wickets down for 43 runs,
Mohamed’s team had its back to the wall but Franklin Hinds 66 and Mohamed 25
restored the excitement. Outstanding bowling by Kervin Ebanks and Ryan Bovell
ensured that Best’s team came out victorious by 23 runs.

Bovell was named Man of the Match
and received a BlackBerry cell phone from LIME, sponsors of Cayman cricket.
