Teens arrested for KFC holdup

 Police have arrested three
teenagers in connection with an armed robbery at KFC last week.

The fast food restaurant in West
Bay Road was held up around 10.30pm on Tuesday 23 March by three men, one of
whom was armed with what appeared to be a firearm and another with a machete.

They threatened staff before making
off with a sum of money. No shots were fired and no-one was injured.

Police said that following an
operation in the George Town area on Sunday night, they arrested the teens,
aged 16, 18 and 19 years, on suspicion of robbery.

They remained in police custody on
Monday afternoon and further enquiries are ongoing.
