Two more arrests in WB murders

Police have arrested two more
people in connection with the murders of Damion Ming and of Alrick Peddie who
were shot dead in West Bay last week.

According to a police statement, a
22-year-old man was arrested on Saturday in relation to Ming’s killing.

He is the second person to be
arrested for the fatal shooting in the Birch Tree Hill area on Thursday night.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on Friday night in connection with the shooting.

Police also arrested a 23-year-old
man on Sunday on suspicion of Peddie’s murder. He is the third person to be
arrested in connection with that killing. Two men, aged 17 and 35, were arrested
Friday and remained in custody in relation to the shooting on Wednesday night
in Willie Farrington Drive.

Both of the latest arrests were
made in the West Bay area, police said.

By press time, none of the five
arrested for last week’s killings had been charged.

Police carried out a series of
raids in West Bay on Friday, arresting five people.

Of those arrested, 27-year-old Luis
Robert Verona and 29-year-old Sven Brett Connor, were charged with attempted
murder in relation to a shooting in George Town on 5 March. A third man,
25-year-old Mark Anthony Seymour, has been charged in absentia in the same case
and is being sought by police.

Police said enquiries into the
murders are continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact West Bay
