Charges in broad daylight shooting

A 32-year-old man has been
charged in relation to the
shooting of a woman on Mary Street, George Town, on 5 March.

Royden Robinson, a
32-year-old Caymanian from the West Bay area, was arrested following a police operation in the George Town area Friday afternoon.

He has been charged with
attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The charges relate to an
incident in the parking lot of Barnes Plaza, Mary Street, where a woman
was shot and sustained serious facial injuries. The victim, Sandra Connor, survived the attack.

Royal Cayman Islands Police anticipated that
Robinson would appear at court on Tuesday.
