Pre-registration for the Earth Day
5k fun run is open.
The event, which is organised by
the National Trust for the Cayman Islands, will take place on Sunday, 25 April
with the start scheduled for 7.30am.
The run will start and finish at
the National Trust visitors centre in the South Sound Family Park. Participants
pass two of the Trust’s historic site while participating in the event, Dr.
Roy’s Ironshore and Fort George.
There will be a $15 registration
fee which entitles each participate to an Earth Month t-shirt featuring the
winning logo from this year’s logo competition, submitted by the Lighthouse
School. Light refreshments and qualification for a random prize draw is also
included. This year’s prizes include a brunch for two from The Ritz-Carlton,
Grand Cayman, tours with Sea Elements, dives with Off the Wall Divers, gift
certificates from Luxe Life and much more.
There will be no registration on
the morning of the run and participants are asked to register from Monday to
Friday 9am to 5pm and 9am to 12pm on Saturday, 24 April at the National Trust
