The Cayman Islands Tourism Association
will be moving offices to a new location on Seven Mile Beach.
The association represents the
interests of Cayman’s private sector businesses and works closely with the
Department of Tourism on tourism innovations and events.
The association’s new offices are
at 1320 West Bay Road, next to Governor’s Square and opposite Plantana
Previously, the association was
based next to Dunkin’ Donuts on 43 Lawrence Boulevard.
Due to the move, the tourism
association’s offices will be closed between 15 and 19 April. A furniture sale
is also taking place with various items up for grabs. Money raised will be put
toward buying new furniture that fits the dimensions of the new office.
The Cayman Islands Tourism
Association Annual General Meeting is on 22 April at Ritz-Carlton from 3pm to 5pm.
At the AGM, a new board of directors
will be voted on plus a state of the industry presentation and highlights from
2009/2010 will be given.
People becoming a fan of and
joining the Cayman Islands Tourism Association Facebook group will be entered
into a draw to win a pair of tickets to La Ceiba courtesy of Cayman Airways. To
enter the draw, participants must join the group before the date of the AGM.
Meanwhile, on 20 April the new
office will host two training programmes. They are Selling With Conviction and
F&B Service With Passion and comprise one hour a week’s in-depth training
through practical technique and group interaction. The courses run for two
months and Tourism Association members will receive a discount.
