Fundraiser benefits John Gray school music programme

One World
Entertainment is seeking donations from the community to go toward music
education at the John Gray High School through its annual fundraiser.

The event, which
is in its second year, is slated to take place on 16 April and will be staged
at the Aqua Beach on the West Bay Road.

All proceeds
from the event will go toward assisting the John Gray High School’s music
programme and help students to purchase equipment.

Owner of One
World Entertainment Eden Hurlstone remarked, “Overall, the main aim of the fundraiser
is to make sure stages in the Cayman Islands never go empty.”

He added that
this was more of an investment than a donation, as these same musicians would
be the ones entertaining in the Islands’ venues in time to come.

Mr. Hurlstone
explained that there would also be John Gray staff on hand to help with
collections, as was the case at the previous event.

He also touted
the lineup for this year.

“We’re featuring
an amazing original young Caymanian musician, Natasha Kozaily and a group of
youngsters, Undiscovered, who are amazingly talented and recent alumni from
John Gray and George Hicks.  If you have not heard these musicians, you
need to.”

He added that
folks could also donate to the John Gray High School music fundraising drive at
his gigs at Havana Club on Wednesdays at 9pm, or at or Stingers on Saturdays at
6pm.

“You can
donate personally, as a band or representing your company.

“We will make
note of anyone who wishes to gain some promotion from the donation/ sponsorship
as well,” Mr. Hurlstone remarked.
