Citco staff support Petapalooza 2010

Homeless dogs and cats are thanking
Citco staff thanks to a recent fundraiser held at their office.

A recent dress down week organized
by the staff of Citco Cayman resulted in donations of more than of US $ 500.00
to become Silver Sponsors for the second year in a row for Petapalooza 2010.

“I am pleased that so many of our
employees participated in this fund raising event and made a donation towards
this worthy cause,” said Chairman of the Citco Community Service Committee
Wickers Weber.

“We wish the organizers of
Petapalooza 2010 every success raising additional funds for the Cayman Islands
Humane Society.  Even with the economic
constraints experienced over the past two years, the spirit of volunteerism is
alive and well amongst our colleagues here in the Cayman Islands Office of
Citco.”

Earlier in the year, the Citco
Cayman staff creatively raised more than US $1000.00 through a series of gift
basket raffles and a ‘yard sale’ prior to moving to new offices at Camana Bay,
which was donated to the Cayman Islands Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Relief
Fund.

The very active Community Services
Committee has also been instrumental in attracting new and retaining current
staff volunteers in their two largest volunteer projects involving more than
40% of the total staff complement.  For
the third consecutive year, Citco Cayman has partnered with John A. Cumber
Primary School in a Reading Buddy Programme where Citco employees mentor a
student and encourage their academic growth through literacy in a one on one
weekly reading meeting at the school.
Also in its’ third year, Citco Cayman has just concluded proud sponsorship
of another Junior Achievement Company hosting 18 high school students this year
(Cay Bling) with quite notable successes including a finalist in the Can JA
awards and a winner of the Production Officer of the Year Award.
