Epic battle for first place

Division two of local basketball
hits another crescendo on Wednesday, 9 June. Three teams sport identical
records and have one last shot at claiming the top spot in the Arts and
Recreation Centre at Camana Bay.

The Digicel Demons, Derek Bogle
Insurance Warriors and Grand Pavilion Shockwaves all sit tied atop the
standings at 6-2. On Wednesday Digicel tangles with the Rock Hole Fire Ants at
6:30pm while Future Sports Club faces Ritz Carlton Lions at 8:15pm. On Sunday
the Warriors and Shockwaves do battle
at 4pm.

Digicel will be eager to improve on
their last showing when it suffered its second loss to the Shockwaves 77-70.
The Demons were essentially lit up by Chester Hurlstone and Justin Connolly who
combined for 46 points, six treys, 19 rebounds and six steals. Juval McField
was the other Shockwaves player in double figures with 15 points (off four
three-pointers) and five rebounds.
