Sample exquisite cuisine and learn
the tricks of the trade at this month’s Brasserie Cooking Class, Sunday, 20
Set in the heart of the
establishment’s state-of-the-art kitchen, the intimate (only 12 participants
can attend each class) and informal master classes are proving so popular that
the Cricket Square restaurant has had to make them ticket-only events.
Chefs Brad Phillips, Dean Max and
Ken Vedrinski will pass on their hard-earned culinary skills with a sumptuous
menu created specifically for the class. Each chef will prepare a course and
will invite questions from attendees during the demonstrations.
Using only the freshest ingredients
and produce – most sourced locally – participants will learn how to prepare
each dish, which they then get to sample, along with carefully selected wine
Visiting gourmand, Chef Dean, the
multi-award winning executive chef of the 3030 Ocean restaurant in Fort
Lauderdale, will take participants on a culinary journey, spiced with
excitement, anecdotes and insider know-how. He will be joined by Chef Ken
Vedrinski, head chef and owner of Trattoria Lucca in South Carolina and
semi-finalist in this year’s James Beard Awards. Rounding out the chefs’ panel
is the Brasserie’s own Executive Chef Brad, who worked with Chef Dean at 3030
Ocean, as well as at Chef Dean’s other restaurant Latitude 41 in Columbus,
