Rotaract Club’s annual conference a success

Four
Rotaractors from Grand Cayman attended a Rotaract conference in Montego Bay,
Jamaica on 2 June at the Grand Palladium Resort, where they interacted with
other Rotarians and Rotaractors from all over the Caribbean and exchanged ideas
on improving community service projects. The main purpose of their week-long
stay was to prepare and train the incoming board members in their new roles and
responsibilities.

President
elect, treasurer and secretary training were conducted, as well as training for
other roles, including director of international service, director of community
service, director of club service, director of professional development,
membership chair and fund-raising chair.

This
training is usually carried out by Rotarian advisors from all over the region
so that the members receive well rounded presentations.

The
Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman meets 7am every Thursday at Icoa Restaurant, in 7
Mile Shops on West Bay Road.
