Rotary Central inducts new board

Wil Pineau takes over as president

The
Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central held its annual changeover ceremony at the
Marriott Beach Resort on 25 June in which it inducted a new board of directors
and officers.

Cayman
Islands Chamber of Commerce CEO Wil Pineau took over as president of the club,
which will place major emphasis on youth in the Cayman Islands for the
following year.

“The
youth of our community are the future leaders of tomorrow,” Mr. Pineau said.
“They deserve support and encouragement in a world filled challenges and
frustrations.”

Mr.
Pineau pledged to continue to work closely with the Rotaract Blue club.
Rotaract, which is the youth arm of the Rotary Club for people aged 18 to 30,
carried out its changeover jointly with Rotary Central, and to continue to
develop the Junior Achievement programme, one of Rotary Central’s signature
community projects.

Rotary
Central and the JA board of directors will launch a Junior Achievement Alumni
Association in July during District Governor Diana White’s visit to Cayman.

Other
Rotary Central board members inducted on the evening were: President Elect
Fiona Moseley; Immediate Past President Paul Byles; Vice President Ravi Kapoor;
Secretary Margaret Rattray; Treasurer Richard Lewis; Vocational Service
Director Larry Tibbetts; Club Services Director Susie Bayles; Community Service
Director Naude Dreyer; International Service Director Graham Wood;  Director Todd Davey; and Club Sergeant Alan
Silverman.
