Under the title Same Game but New
Rules?, law firm Campbells will host the 8th annual Cayman Fund Focus on
Friday, 8 October at the Ritz- Carlton.
The one-day conference, which has
become one of the island’s main events focusing on the fund industry, will
address regulatory changes affecting the funds industry in the US, Europe and
the Cayman Islands. A regulatory
round-up section will offer presentations by Yolanda Banks-McCoy, CIMA’s head
of investments and securities; Donnacha O’Connor of Dillon Eustace in Dublin;
and Keith Miller of Paul Hastings, New York; with subsequent panel debates
moderated by DMTC Group’s Gary Linford.
Additional sections will focus on
issues affecting investors and service providers, featuring Sophie Raven of
Superfund, Boris Onefater of Constellation Investment Consulting Corp, and
David Bree of dms.
The conference will conclude with a
round-up of the latest restructuring, liquidation and litigation issues with
panellists Brian Pfeiffer of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, Stu Sybersma of
Deloitte and Guy Manning of Campbells.
Campbells partners Robert Searle
and Ross McDonough, as well as Ethan Johnson of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius,
will moderate the sessions.
