West Bay man charged with third murder

Raziel Omar Jeffers, 27, appeared in Summary Court on
Thursday afternoon to face a third charge of murder.

Details of the charge are that he, together with other
persons, on 11 March 2010 while at an address on Maliwinas Way off North West Point
Road West
Bay, murdered Marcos
Mauricio Guaman Duran.

On 27 May he appeared in court charged with murdering
Marcus Leon Ebanks at Bonaventure
Road, West Bay, on 8 July 2009. Marcus was 20 at
the time.

On 14 May,  Jeffers was brought to court on the
charge of murdering Damion Omar Ming on 25 March this year. Mr. Ming, 29, was
shot in the Birch Tree Hill area of West

Crown Counsel Candia James brought the latest charge
to court and Attorney Ben Tonner requested the papers in the case. He further
asked that a legal aid grant for Jeffers be extended to the new matter.

Chief Magistrate Margaret Ramsay-Hale agreed. She set
the matter for mention again on Tuesday, 28 September.

A young person has already been charged with the
murder of Mr. Duran and another adult, Craig Victor Johnson,  has been
charged as an accessory  after the fact of murder.
