Kareem slugs Maples ahead

There may not be an unbeaten team
left in co-ed softball but there are plenty of strong sides still around. One
of them is the Maples Sluggers. Behind strong batting from Kareem Robinson,
Maples sits comfortably atop the B1 division of the 2010 Fall Adult Co-Ed
Softball League. The Sluggers have the most runs in their division (95) and are
two games ahead of the Master Batters in the loss column. Interestingly defending
champs PriceWaterhouseCoopers B has dropped to third place after an unbeaten
2-0 start.

Meanwhile PWC’s other side the
Scorpions have been dominant. Even though the squad lost its bid at perfection
last week PWC sits atop the C division at 6-1, a game ahead of resurgent
Electra-Tech Pure Energy.

Elsewhere the standings have been
tight. The B2 division sees a log-jam at the top with team Deloitte in a dead
heat with the KPMG Bounty Hunters. Interestingly both are neck-and-neck for
bragging rights as the most offensively explosive team (KPMG has scored 111
runs while Deloitte has knocked in 110). Finally in the A league a three-way
tie exists as the Coors Light Chuggers, reigning champions Home Gas and
newcomers A.L. Thompson’s Hammers all have just two losses.
