Comedy show with a twist

Top American comic Damon Williams
will be performing at Margaritaville tonight, 1 October, and Saturday, 2
October, in the first in a series of Laughter Lounge Comedy Show and networking

The comedian has toured the world,
featured in the Kings of Comedy Tour, Def Comedy Jam, Jaime Fox’s Laughapalooza,
Martin Lawrence’s 1st Amendment and the Tom Joyner Morning Show. Stuart Wilson
and the Love Culture band will perform, along with surprise guests. Later,
music will be provided by DJs. Hosts include Cory Thompson, Brad Watts, Michael
Webster, Rod Jefferson and Gavin Dixon. 

Tickets are $30 in advance and $40
at the door. Tables for four can be reserved at $100.

A portion of the proceeds will go
to the Rodney Bodden Memorial Weekend held each year in honour of the young
Caymanian basketball phenom, who died as a result of heart failure on a
National Team trip to the Bahamas on 25 September, 1996.

“We are quite excited about the
event,” said Rod Jefferson, one of the organisers, “and both residents and
visitors alike say this kind of entertainment is part of what has been missing
on the scene.”
