All Stars are intent

The start of a new month marks a
time for All Stars to gain ground in local netball. With a pair of teams ahead
of them in the standings the time to win is now.

On Thursday 7 October All Stars go
in action at 6.30pm against team Multi-Built. The netball courts at Truman
Bodden Sports Complex host the match, which is part of the Cayman Islands
Netball Association Mixed League.

Coming into the match All Stars
were third in the standings, trailing the Frank Hall Homes Blazers and Roma. So
far this season the usual talents have made an impact as Pauline Bodden, Lyneth
Monteith and Courtney Wisdom have all held their own.

For the All Stars to nab a win
tonight they will need to see solid effort from male players Ovaine Monteith
and Rhod Taylor. A league regular and a basketball guru, Monteith brings a
wealth of experience and leaping ability. Taylor, who stars in a number of
sports like flag football and basketball, has a ton of athletic ability though
his stamina is average.

The squad will be under pressure
from a Multi-Built team that has athleticism. With David Wilson and Ramona
Denton being the veteran play-makers to guide newcomers like Omar Clarke, the
side has the ability to cause an upset.
