A series of public meetings has
been set this month by the Cayman Islands Immigration Department.
Officials are planning to set up
booths at various locations to answer residents’ questions regarding a number
of topics including fees, biometric ID’s for work permit holders, and various
immigration processes as well as enforcement.
Staff from the Immigration
Department and the various boards will be on hand.
The following meeting times and
dates have been set:
*26 October, Shirley Kidd Memorial
Hall at John Cumber Primary School in West Bay
27 October, the William McLaughlin
Civic Centre in East End
28 October, Savannah Primary School
1 November, Bodden Town Civic
Centre in Bodden Town
2 November, the Craddock Ebanks
Civic Centre in North Side
3 November, the John Gray High
School assembly hall in George Town
4 November, the Aston Rutty Centre
in Cayman Brac
All meetings will begin at 5.30pm
as open forums where individuals attending can talk to immigration staff. Presentations
will be held at each meeting between 7pm and 8pm, followed by further
face-to-face meetings between 8 and 9pm.
