International law firm Mourant
Ozannes has hired Morven McMillan as head of trusts.
Ms McMillan, who joined Mourant
Ozannes on 1 October, previously held the position of partner and head of the
Trust & Fiduciary Disputes at Charles Russell in London. She is familiar
with practising in the Cayman Islands, having spent five years working with the
Litigation and International Trusts & Private Client Departments at Walkers
A recognised specialist in the
field of contentious trusts disputes, Ms McMillan also has considerable
experience in non-contentious work. In the Legal 500 (2010) listing she is
noted as a “leading practitioner” while Private Client: Contentious Trusts –
Chambers UK (2010) also ranks her as a leading practitioner and noted: “Morven
McMillan is the firm’s best-known name for contentious work…she is regularly
involved in disputes relating to trusts, wills and inheritance.”
Neal Lomax, managing partner of the
Cayman Islands office of Mourant Ozannes, said: “Morven has an excellent international

practice in Cayman.”
She attended the University of St
Andrews in Scotland and gained her Legal Practice Course qualification with a
commendation from the College of York in England, where she subsequently sat
her Common Professional Examination.
An active member of the Society of
Trust & Estate Practitioners, and of the Association of Contentious Trust
and Probate Specialists, Ms. McMillan also spoke in February at the Legal Week
International Trusts & Estates Litigation Forum in Provence, France.
Ms McMillan said she is looking
forward to leading the way for the Trusts department at Mourant Ozannes.
