Hell run is a devilish trip

The annual To Hell and Back 10K
walk/run offers swashbucklers and wenches a fitting opportunity to wind up
their Pirates Week celebrations.

It is on Sunday morning and
much-anticipated competitive and recreational fitness action begins at 7am
opposite the north end of the Westin Casuarina Hotel on West Bay Road.

The route wends its way west along
West Bay Road on to Town Hall Road and then a left on Hell Road reaches a
turnaround point at the Devil’s Hangout, by the post office. The devil is
expected to be on hand to prod participants into an energetic retracing of
their steps until the finish line is crossed at the Tiki Beach Bar.

Several entries from the United
States, Canada and England have already been received. Registration is at the
Tiki Beach House on West Bay Road on Saturday 20 November, from noon until 5pm.
There is no race day registration. Entry fee is CI$25 which includes event
shirts, opportunities for overall and age group awards and random prizes.
Breakfast will be served to all competitors.

The first three male and female
overall finishers will receive awards, as will first finishers in age groups 19
and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-plus.
