Pink Ladies’ annual event a crowd pleaser
This year’s Pink Ladies Christmas Bazaar provided a variety of entertainment and affordable hand-crafted items and homemade goodies for shoppers seeking presents for the holiday season.
Held at Triple C School last Saturday, the event also provided performances by a number of dance companies, group choirs and bands, as well as a silent action with hotel stays, prize packages and fully decorated Christmas trees.
Also featured and for sale were Christmas puddings, cakes, scones, banana bread, chutneys, jams and pies, along with other homemade goods.
As always, the White Elephant Stall was a big draw, and the opportunity for attendees to stock up on bric-a-brac and household items for just a few dollars.
There was also a children’s corner, where youngsters were kept amused with face painting, balloons and other activities.
The funds raised help charities such as The Pines Retirement Home, the George Town Hospital, the National Council of Voluntary Organisation and other charitable organisations throughout the community.
